I suppose this answers a few questions. Most notable in my experience is that due to the nature of my work, I have to divide my attention to monitor various "systems" so that I may responded to anyone of them that may need serious attention for a shot time. Most importantly I can not miss any issue. So thus I am no longer able to watch movies during my leisure time, as that I have to be so attuned to watching many things at once. My work day seems like it's forever. Thank you Michael your knowledge and insight is so enlightening.

For me the past dose not egoist as tome itself, but just a single image on a spectrum... like my lifes past was single moment that happened simultaneously bu until this very moment. But the past(image) can be changed by what I do now.

Oh my god, I love how well thought out this video is. I hope others noticed but michael purposefully changed shirts in different ways to stimulate our mind's passage of time. The first time he changed it, it was such a bizarre and provocative shirt, we were bound to notice it's change. The second shirt change, Michael also made sure to make the shirt he changed into the same type of shirt as his first, but a different colour and pattern; this way, this change was different enough for our brains to register "this seems kind of different" but also feels familiar at the same time. As if maybe the change didn't happen. Then he followed the same idea by keeping the same shirt for the third change, but this time, the shirt was the same pattern as his first shirt with a different colour. It became so subtle to our minds, it's as if nothing changed at all and the shirt change became unnoticeable to me. Finally, he finishes it all off with starting off where he began with the first shirt. Props to michael and whatever team helps him plan these episodes, if he does have one.

I first watched Vsauce when I was in high school and I used to find its content so interesting, mesmerising but so difficult to understand. I thought it was because I was a kid. Now I am a master graduated from one of the top ten universities in the world, but I still couldn't fully understand Michael. I'm ashamed, Michael really is a genius and I realised I have so much more to learn.

"And as always, thanks for watching"... Michael, au contraire, thank you for making such great content, that helps me pass time.... but I'll definitely remember ;) hehe... (Is there any long-long pattern?) --- on another subject... I do believe that we're on a big transition. It won't probably happen in our lifetime (unless gene editing becomes accessible, which would essentially divide by zero our life-times). But we're shrinking... as our data collection increases our own share and footprint on reality shrinks further. Give it enough time and a real, present life will be undistinguishable from a memory or recording It won't be much longer until when VR becomes undistinguishable from reality. Once smell and other sensorial stimulations (like feeling of mass, sun on the skin, etc) are conquered we will be able to construct hyper real simulations that could be set in any "age"... so you could virtually live in the '80s without being in the '80s... time travel will become possible through virtual simulations. Something that at scale, I believe it would weaken our perception of time and the present even further... getting closer to "the end of time"; a point when it becomes possible to live 'forever' (energy permitting), and just hop from simulation to simulation "living"' different ages and different parts of the world. Applied correctly we'd have effectively conquered our space-time portion.. Applied incorrectly we all end up in the matrix (oh wait....)

I had a mini date with someone that happened to be fairly incompatible today and we sat down at some place near the water, and while we were chatting and after every word we spoke it became more clear how incompatible we were, I started to chronosonder in the back of my mind... and I tend to do it quite often, and it's a real fun trip. It also makes me more curious of lots of other things and people, particularly in the realities of the past as you say here. Lately I've found myself very interested in trying to have a grasp for the reality of people who lived (and fought) through WWII. I'm 33 this year and watching documentaries (colorized 😂) and reading things about how stuffed the whole situation was, I get to realise that being 33 would make me fairly older than the average conscription age. And even older than Chris Kyle ('american sniper') when he enroled to the SEALs training. Worse, to feel and realise that Michael is just 2 years older than me (1988 me vs 1986)... makes time distance very narrow as my sister is from 1986 The good, is that I become aware of many things that many others will never be able to see. But then my reality gets quite distorted.. And worse, I realise that I'm older than many people who have done great things at a younger age than mine right now, or people at a comparable age like Michael are creating and achieving great things, while I'm sitting on my ass watching videos on youtube, being a total f*ck up without having accomplished anything worthwhile ☹️☹️ (yet) 😞 Time to get to work

I think time should be measured in two axis : duration and value with those two vectors being relative to the person's experience of the said time and could be converted to someone else's base by multiplying by two matrices inv(A) and B, with A the moral construct of the first person's ideas and perception about all the activities involved in the said time and B the new person's moral construct of those same ideas and activities. You could also add a C matrix to include the evolution of time between the time the first person experienced those activities and the time the second person's evaluation of the said activities (B) is taken place.

They say, well Joe rogan says, our brains are still developing until our mid 20s. Everything is fresh to us and our brain. We feel everything so strongly because its so new. Into our 30s and onwards it takes more and more to get us excited. A lot of things become run of the mill and therefore easily forgettable.

another thing that I also find uncanny, is the fact that, whenever I think of movies or cartoons (specially cartoons) from my childhood, the images in my memories are usually crisp high-def images. But when I look at them nowadays (like in the case of He-Man, one of my favourites) the quality is so bad, that I keep asking myself why is the mental picture so far from what the actual quality was.
